How
are you? I want to tell you about our school tradition. Birthday is a
wonderful holiday for everybody isn’t it? Every month, we
celebrate birthdays of our classmates. We organize birthday parties for
them. First, we decorate our classroom. Then we think of the sincere
congratulations for our classmates. I want to tell you about the last
celebration. That time we organized funny competitions. We recited
poems and sang songs. We baked a big and tasty cake. All were happy. I
liked disco most of all. Tell me more about your school traditions.
Goodbye!
I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello Patrick,
I want to
tell you about my best
friend.
I
have several friends at school. But the best among them is
Anton, who is my class fellow.
He is of my age. But he is much
taller than I in size. Anton has a very cheerful
nature. I've known him
for two years
but have never seen him angry. His
face is always smiling. Even if any boy abuses him, Anton never loses
his temper.
At school he sits on the same bench with
me. We are together for the greater part of the day. Together
we learn and play together. Other
boys envy
our
friendship. But we do not mind it.
Anton is very good at his
lessons. He never neglects his studies. He never gives the teacher a
chance to complaint. Mathematics is
his
weak subject. But Anton is doing his best to make up his
weakness.
My friend is active and smart.
He is good at both studies and games. Anton never
tells a lie. He helps his
parents in
the house He loves hard work and honest labor.
All
his qualities have attracted me. I cannot find a more ideal friend than
Anton.
Best wishes,
Alex

Dear
Olga,
I
want to write you about my future career.
I
am a school-leaver and this year I am finishing school. When you leave
school, you understand that the time to choose your future profession
has come. It is not an easy task to choose the right job for you.
There
are a lot of different professions and it is really hard to choose the
one, which would be interesting for you and will help you earn your
living. Generally, I think that choosing the right job is the main
question not only for a school-leaver, but also for all the family.
I
would like to become a teacher.
In
my opinion, to be a teacher is not an easy task because you need not
only to love children, but you also should have an ability to explain
things clearly, know your subject profoundly and be an all around
person. Though this is not the easiest task, I am sure that I have got
almost all necessary qualities to become a really good teacher.
Nowadays
it is very important to know a foreign language, especially English.
More and more people need qualified teachers to teach them today. I
understand that this profession is greatly demanded and that is why I
would like to become an English teacher. This year I am going to enter
the department of foreign languages at the local University.
I
wait for the letter with impatience.
Best
wishes,
Yana

Dear
Ben,
Thank
you for your recent letter. It was nice to hear from you. I hope
you’re okay.
In
your letter you asked me about exams. Well, I have chosen Biology and
Chemistry. These are very interesting and informative subjects. I
prefer oral exams to written ones because I can easily learn the
tickets by heart and retell them. I also do some tests in these
subjects. I can pass the exams well. In the evening I read my
text-books until it is time to go to bed.
Actually,
I have to stop now because I’ve got a lot of homework to do.
Give
my regards to your family. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best
wishes,
Yana

Dear
Steven,
I’m
so busy right now, because I’m the first year student of the
Historical and English faculty at the Moscow Region State University.
I’ll
be honest with you in this letter. At first, I’m so tired,
but
it’s very interesting to study at University (it’s
not like
study at school).
You
will ask me, why I have chosen this University. So, it’s very
difficult to understand, because I do not know why I go at this
University. You do not believe me, I know. But I think it’s a
fate.
Studying
at University is hard, but I have new companions here, new knowledge
and new teachers. In our University tutors are very pleasant and
understanding. I think they are cool people in a real life. Also they
all know their subject very well. Now you think that it’s a
very
good place to study. Not! Because we are studying in a terrible
building. So, it’s all so sad.
I
know that we are the champion in football, but I’m not a boy,
so
it’s not interesting for me, but I’m very proud for
them.
Also we have a lot of sport teams, but I do not want to do sport. I
want to learn yoga. But I have not a lot of time for this, so I think
that I’m not going to yoga this year. Maybe next…
so we
will see.
So,
it’s not a long letter, I know it. But you know I do not like
to
write letters to you, because I love you and I want to meet you as soon
as is possible. Maybe we will meet next week? What do you think?
With
love Dasha.

Dear
Emily,
Thank
you for your letter. It was great to hear about your new
house.
As
for my new school it's very big! It has three computer rooms and
wonderful sport facilities. Actually, it seems a nice place and I enjoy
studying there. The kids in my class are very
friendly.
I've
already made some new friends and often meet after
classes.
I've
got only one new subject this year. It's Economics and I'm beginning to
think that it's not difficult, after all!
By
the way, what music styles do you enjoy? Have you got any favorite
bands? Would you like to go to their concert? As for me, I prefer
Radiohead. They are cool!
I'd
better go now.
Lots
of
love,
Ann
